Best Boat Floats
2020 Homecoming Parade Float Winners
CHS Girl’s Basketball won first place during the 2020 homecoming parade with their “Chargers of the Caribbean” boat float. The girls and parents dedicated many weekends to build this winning float. The float was equipped with cannons shooting basketballs, a sound system, and a dinghy trailing behind.
The Champion High School 2020 homecoming parade was Monday October 19th. Sports teams and other student organizations rode down East Blanco Road on “Under the ‘C’” themed floats that they designed and created themselves. The CHS Student Council judged and awarded the three best floats.
In second place was Volleyball’s float based on the popular children’s show, SpongeBob SquarePants.

And in third place was the Golf team’s speed boat float, “The CHS Pogue”.
