You Could Win a $20 Gift Card Through Our April Poetry Contest!

Amy Steward, Editor-in-Chief

April is National Poetry Month — to celebrate, ChargerInk is hosting a poetry contest!

This is similar to our writing contest in October, but this time is POETRY ONLY.

1st place will receive a $20 Barnes & Noble gift card!

Here are the rules:

  1. Write a poem about anything you want. It can be free verse, a sonnet, a limerick, or whatever you feel as long as it’s original (yes, we will use an AI checker) and age-appropriate.
  2. MAKE SURE that your poem is on a Google Doc.
  3. Email your submission to [email protected]. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, April 28, and the winners will be announced on ChargerInk. after faculty judging.
  4. Have fun with it — make it personal or about somebody you never met; set it right here in Boerne or a planet lightyears away; make it several stanzas long or just a few lines. It’s up to you!

To win, follow the guidelines and make sure your poem is well-developed, entertaining, and age-appropriate. In addition to a $20 Barnes & Noble gift card, the winner will have their writing (and photo, if willing) published in the school newspaper and weekly newsletter. All entries will be displayed in the library after the deadline (you can request that your name isn’t shown if you like).
